The book gathers interviews with Japan’s most representative architects: Toyo Ito & Associates Architects, Shigeru Ban Architects, Shinichi Ogawa & Associates, Kengo Kuma and Associates, Tezuka Architects, Kazuyo Sejima & Associates, Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa / SANAA, Office of Ryue Nishizawa, Sou Fujimoto Architects, TNA / Makoto Takei + Nabeshina Chie, Junya Ishigami + Associates, Go Hasegawa & Associates. Their work devotes special attention to the relationship between architecture and those who inhabit it, developing the concept of scale beyond the specific dimension of its buildings, promoting the understanding of nature and the urban as connected elements of the same landscape. The Nothingness, like the Void, not understood as negation but as the possibility and the becoming of the being of things, is represented in symbolic constructions by means of which its material nature becomes tangible.
