Use of cookies

Cookies are files sent to a browser through a web server to register users’ activities on a specific website. The first purpose of cookies is to provide the user with faster access to the selected pages.

The website uses cookies to personalize and make user navigation as easy as possible. Cookies are only associated with an anonymous user and that person’s computer and they do not provide references that allow the user’s personal data to be deduced.

The user may set their browser to notify and reject the installation of cookies sent by website, without this prejudicing the user’s ability to access the content. However, in this case, the performance of the website may decrease.

Likewise, the website will be able to know all the pages visited by users, so it will be able to provide or offer suitable information in regard of users’ tastes and preferences.

Type, purpose and functioning of cookies

Cookies, depending on their permanence, can be divided into session or permanent cookies. The first ones expire when the user closes the browser. The second ones expire depending on when the objective for which they serve is fulfilled or when they are manually deleted.

Additionally, depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified as follows:

Performance cookies: This type of cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found on the pages, so there is no need to set it up each time you visit it. As an example, this typology includes:

  • Video or sound player volume settings.
  • The video transmission speeds supported by your browser.

Geo-location cookies: These cookies are used to find out which country you are in when browsing the website. This cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help target content to your location.

Analytical cookies: Every time a user visits a page, a tool from an external provider (in our case Google Analytics) generates an analytical cookie on the user’s computer. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will serve on future visits to the page to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives pursued are:

  • To allow the anonymous identification of browsing users through the “cookie” (identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate accounting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
  • To anonymously identify the most visited content and therefore the most attractive to users.
  • To know if the user you are accessing is new or has repeated visits.

Important: Unless the user decides to register on the website, the “cookie” will never be associated with any personal data that can identify them. These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help to optimize the user experience on the site.

How to deactivate the cookies of the main browsers

It is usually possible to stop accepting browser cookies, or stop accepting cookies from a particular page.

Update and changes in the cookies policy

The website can modify this Cookies Policy regarding legislative, regulatory requirements, or in order to adapt this policy to the instructions issued by the Spanish Agency for Data Protection, which is why users are advised to visit it periodically.

When significant changes occur in this Cookies Policy, they will be communicated to users through the website.
