This book is a revised and corrected edition of the 2007 publication “The Rebirth of a Nation: Propaganda Graphics in Vietnam from the 60’s to the end of the 20th Century.” This edition includes new texts on a new format. The publication was made not only due to the original edition being sold out, but also because it was requested on the occasion of the commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Spain and Vietnam. “A grain of rice is a grain of gold” is the slogan that best defines the moral implicit in the Vietnamese propaganda graphic, linked to a social imaginary associated with one of the most critical periods in the history of Vietnam and the new world order. The posters which are gathered in this volume coincide with the miracle of a country mistreated first by French colonization up until 1954, afterwards devastated by the war between 1964 and 1975, and the lastly years that continue dedicated to the reunification and reconstruction of the country.
