L’interès central estarà situat en la pràctica de la meditació i en el diàleg en torn de l’experiència meditativa.

En la tradició japonesa –on el regal i l'ofrena compleixen una funció ritual, a més de social– l'embolcall en tela ocupa un espai diferenciat. Es tracta d'una espècie de mocadors decorats, en diferents grandàries, que serveixen tant per presentar el regal al que ho rep, com para simplement embolicar-ho o transportar-ho.

Es diu a Japó que la grulla va trigar mil anys a arribar al sol naixent des que va sortir volant de l'esquena d'una tortuga. Un dels llibres coneguts més antics de la història de la papiroflexia conté models d'esbarts de grulles entrellaçades. I la vida mil·lenària de les grulles que s'aparellen és un dels mites més populars a Japó. L'origami japonès està especialment lligat a la figura de la grulla (tzuru), de la mateixa manera que la papiroflexia espanyola ho està al famós «corbatí». En aquest curs tècnic d'introducció a l'origami japonès més pur –el dedicat al plec tridimensional de figures de la naturalesa– coneixerem per què.

This course aims to begin a fluid conversation and to consolidate knowledge through the real and specific use of the language. Students will have the chance to practice colloquial languaage through the presentation and participation in typically Japanese cultural events (clothes, calligraphy, etc.).

Within the field of arts on an international level, Chinese painting has a national and unique style with certain distinctive features. In terms of outlining the image, it uses lines and black ink to reflect shape and texture. Likewise, it combines many artistic forms such as poems, odes, calligraphies and stamps, making the representation in body and spirit easier. In addition, Chinese painting has a unique assembly with paper frameworks that serve to highlight the charm of the painted images.

Hindi is the most spoken language and official language in India. Around 40% of inhabitants in India speak it. This intensive course will work on phonetically adapted Latin letters to Hindi and then we will learn to use the Devanagari alphabet to write.

To write Chinese calligraphy is a ritual, a song about the circulation of energy. All the process is a transmission, from the spirit of the universe to every stroke. Before writing, meditation purifies the mind and the ritual predisposes the captation of energy. In the Eastern world, this writing ceremony has been preserved for thousands of years. The essence of writing is not only to represent the beauty of symbols, but also to show the person's virtue.

Maths is considered to be the mother of all sciences. Vedic maths comes from Vedas and this word from Sanskrit and it means wisdom. The contribution of India to the world of maths has been very important since the invention of zero to the introduction to the decimal system, going through the discovery of pi, among others.

The purpose of this course is to initiate those interested in meditation, as it is understood in the Hinduist and Buddhist traditions through the context of the different kinds of meditation. At every session there will be a theoretical development of the corresponding tradition, as well as a meditation practice. In both cases, dialogue and sharing will have an important role.

On a basic oral level and not too complicated, people that speak Hindi can understand people that speak Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. If we add, in addition, the Indian communities estalished in other countries of Asia, Africa or Europe, we can get an idea of the current great reach of this language.
