CLONADO - Positive outcome of the Japanese Cultural Week in Canarias

Following the success of the Cultural Day on Japan, the Cultural Spaces of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Garachico hosted a cultural conference dedicated to Oceania from the 1st to the 8th of September.

After the success of the Cultural Day on Japan, the Cultural Spaces of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Garachico hosted, from September 1 to 8, cultural conferences dedicated to Oceania.

A program full of workshops, exhibitions, conferences, cinematographic projections and other events has explored the fascinating culture of this continent and has allowed the public to bring a glimpse of the customs and traditions of some of their countries.

Visitors have been able to enjoy activities such as learning how to dance the Haka, the Maori war dance, which has popularized the rugby selection of New Zealand known as All Blacks; Know the meaning and design attractive Maori tattoos; Get into Australian mythology or know legends and stories of the Fiji Islands.

For the design of the activities, the Fundación CajaCanarias has had the collaboration of Casa Asia, as well as the Embassies of Australia and New Zealand in Spain.
