Casa Asia takes part in FITUR

Casa Asia takes part in the International Tourism Fair of Madrid (Fitur) which is held between the 28th of January and the 1st of February with the organisation of a course on tourism addressed to all those economic actors interested in China as an issuing market of tourists.

Fitur, which holds its 35th edition, is one of the most important dates of the tourist sector on a world scale and brings together every year the main tourism agencies of countries and autonomous communities, as well as all those economic and professional actors linked to the sector.  

Casa Asia has organised for the occasion the training course “Chinese Outbound Tourism: New Challenges for European Tourism”, given the strength of this market that generated last year 4 million tourists that travelled to Europe, with two famous experts: on the one hand, Dr. Kevin Latham, teacher at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) of the University of London and author of How the rise of Chinese Tourism will Change the Face of the European Travel Industry, which will present the current situation of Chinese tourism, as well as its profiles and favourite destinations. On the other hand, the consultant Yuan Gao will analyse with the example of practical cases everything related to hospitality and Chinese tourist service and its motivation for shopping tourism.

At this year's edition, Fitur concentrates the offer of 9.107 companies of 165 countries and the presence of aroun 200 thousand visitors from all over the world, out of which 120 thousand are professionals, which confirms the growing importance of this sector. The 35th International Tourism Fair is organised by IFEMA, and it includes the support of the main agents of the sector, the World Tourism Orgnanisation and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
