South Korea is number one in ITC

For the fourth consecutive year, South Korea is number one in ITC use and it is positioned as one of the most connected countries of the world.

Recent data of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), organism of the United Nations specialised in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), has placed South Korea once again as the leader for the fourth time at the ICT Development Index, which calculates access, use and competences in 157 countries.

This country is highlighted in the control of use and knowledge of technologies, achieving better results that in other countries in the percentage of homes with access to Internet.

The Ministry of Science, ITC and Future Planning showed great satisfaction with these results and stated that they reflect perfectly the level of South Korea in this field, but that they are planning on improving competitiveness of the country regarding these technologies.

Other Asian countries, such as Japan or Singapore, were classified among the first 20 of the ICT Development Index.
