Course: "Japanese Autobiographic Literature. Mishima, Ôe and Murakami"

Do you like Japanese literature? Approach Mishima, Haruki Murakami and Kenzaburo Oé's life through their most personal work. The course is addressed to all those people interested in Japanese culture and/or literature in general.

Throughout the course we will go through highlighted contemporary authors whose works will be analysed and read.

Attendants will acquire general knowledge on contemporary Japanese literature through some of the works of the most representative authors of the second half of the 20th century. Sessions will be organised around a theoretical presentation by the teacher, followed by a comment of the work by the author that is chosen to work on.

2. Confessions of a Mask (Mishima)
3. A Personal Matter (Oe)
4. Norwegian Wood (Murakami)

2. Send the receipt of the payment specifying name, surnames, ID, NIE or passport, telephone number of the student and code of the course. Also attach a passport photo. Once the receipt has been received with the required data, Casa Asia will contact the student.

IMPORTANT: Seats are only guaranteed once the student has sent the receipt and received a confirmation e-mail. If the course is complete, Casa Asia would return the complete registration fee. Once the registration has been carried out, registration fees will not be returned for reasons beyond Casa Asia's responsibility.

Speaker: Albert Nolla, translator and associate teacher of the Department of Translation and Interpretation of University Autonomous of Barcelona, where he teaches Japanese language, culture and literature. For more than 10 years he has been devoted to literary translation, field where he has translated Japanese authors such as Haruki Murakami, Kenzaburo Oé, Junichiro Tanizaki, Yasunari Kawabata or Banana Yoshimoto. Likewise, he has translated authors in English language into Catalan such as Paul Auster, Khaled Hosseini or V. S. Naipaul, among others.
