Casa Asia and the Federation of Associations of Parents of Secondary Students (FAPAES), in collaboration with the town halls of Badalona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet, have organised two language camps, one in each city, to make meetings easier among young families migrated from different countries with a majority of Asian origin participants.

The objective of the two camps is to support regrouped young people who need to improve their communication skills in Catalan and Spanish in order to continue with their secondary and higher studies and, at the same time, develop a network of friends that make their integration and socialization easier in their city of residence. The Badalona camp had a participation of 20 teenagers and young people, mostly from Pakistani families, and the Santa Coloma camp had 35 participants from different countries of origin (India, Pakistan, China, Armenia, Russia, Latin America, Morocco, among others). Both activities are part of Casa Asia’s AFEX and AFFM programmes and are being developed with great success.
