This programme is being carried out in 5 neighborhoods of the city of Barcelona with the support of the Directorate of Drets de Ciutadania i Immigració of the Barcelona City Council and the Secretariat d’Entitats de Sants. €3,513.79 was collected and delivered to Casa Asia in order to consolidate the AFEX programme. The money will be used to continue the programme in one of the schools where this course has been working very well, but we did not have funding for the next year or to start the programme in a new educational centre in the city, as there were several schools interested.
Within the AFEX Programme we feel lucky that ALTRU chose this program as an initiative to launch the new association and the success of the collection that will surely serve to give a good boost to the programme and lead to more We Learn. Networking families and more people of immigrant origin who feel the need to learn one of the languages of the host society where they have settled.
