This year Spain and the Republic of Korea celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. In 1950, both countries began a path of dialogue and cooperation that has been consolidated over time, not only in the institutional sphere, but also in that of economic relations and in that of cultural exchanges, not in vain Spain and South Korea share values and strategic interests that strengthen both their present and their future prospects.

Within this framework, Casa Asia, in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in Korea, the Spanish Centre for Korean Research, the Embassy of Korea in Spain and the Korea Foundation, organizes a program of activities, including online lectures (webcasts) and a series of interviews with prominent personalities who have played a unique role in promoting and developing this dual relationship, during this month of November and December.

We highlight that Casa Asia has organised the Spain-Korea Tribune, a platform for bilateral dialogue, whose thirteenth edition will be held this year, and that on September 28 the book “Spain and Korea: towards a new strategic partnership” was presented. This book was prepared in collaboration with the Korean Embassy in Spain and the Spanish Center for Korean Research (CEIC).
