In this interview with Xulio Ríos, director of the Observatory of China Politics and IGADI and Casa Asia 2021 Award in the Culture and Society category, approaches the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and analyses the challenges of the country on a global scale and the internal process of modernization of the CCP. For Ríos, “China does not need to dominate the world at least from the same perspective that is posed from the West.” This renowned sinologist is the author of The Metamorphosis of the Chinese Communist Party, his new book in which he addresses the evolution of the CCP in its 100-year history. Finally, Xulio Ríos appreciates the awarding of the Casa Asia 2021 Award, which was awarded to him on June 7.
