Some Kayan women live in the settlement of Nai Soi, Northeast Thailand. These women emigrated from Myanmar (which used to be called Burma) and they had a peculiarity, they have an ancient tradition where they lengthen their necks with a metallic spiral, which is why they are also called giraffe women.
