The two-day training-oriented event will bring together around thirty young Asian and European journalists and media professionals, with the general objective of addressing the challenges and needs they have in their daily work, providing them with the tools necessary to confront misinformation in the digital age.

All those young journalists and media professionals, among them 18 to 35 years old and who are citizens of one of the member countries of the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) forum can expand the information and access the call here: http://www.asef.org/projects/themes/media/4714-asefjs12

Among other requirements, those interested in participating in the seminar must prove that they work as journalists in a media outlet, whether traditional or digital, or as an independent (freelance). Likewise, some experience or project linked to the disinformation, fake news, or news verification.

The candidates who are finally selected to be part of the seminar may also be accredited to cover the fourteenth meeting of foreign ministers of the ASEM forum, which will take place between December 15 and 16 in Madrid. Equally, They will be able to cover two other official events parallel to the ministerial summit: the ASEM Cultural Festival and the ninth "Model ASEM", which will take place from December 12 to 15.

ASEF

The Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) promotes greater collaboration and mutual understanding between the countries of Asia and Europe through intellectual, cultural and people-to-people exchanges. ASEF, which is headquartered in Singapore, was established in February 1997 by the governments and organizations participating in the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), a forum made up of a total of 51 Asian and European countries, plus the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Secretariat y the European Union.
