Casa Asia launches the call for the Awards Casa Asia 2026, the objective of which is to recognize and disseminate the work of individuals, entities, or projects that excel in their respective fields of activity or contribute to promoting knowledge, dialogue, and relations between Spain and the Asia-Pacific region.

The awards Casa Asia They will be awarded to those individuals, entities or projects that stand out or contribute with their work and merits in the economic, scientific, academic, educational, cultural and social fields in a significant and exemplary manner.

  • Premio Casa Asia of Economics and Business: intended for applications that contribute to strengthening commercial, economic or business relations between Spain and the Asia-Pacific countries.
  • Premio Casa Asia of Politics and Society: intended for candidates who contribute significantly to the knowledge and visibility of the social and political reality of the Asia-Pacific countries, as well as to the dialogue between civil societies in Spain and the countries of the region.
  • Premio Casa Asia of Education and Science: intended for applications that contribute to the educational, academic and research fields on Asia and the Pacific or their respective languages, as well as those that promote scientific cooperation.
  • Premio Casa Asia of Culture: intended for relevant candidates in the artistic field in any of its forms: visual arts, cinema, literature, music, etc., with a thematic or conceptual connection to Asia-Pacific.

This award was first established in 2004. Previous winners have included the Association of Afghan Women in Spain (AMAE) and L'Hospitalet Cricket Club, philosopher and thinker Raimon Pannikar, the China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai, the Spanish NGO Coordination Network for Development, the Nagasaki Prefectural Museum of Art, journalists Rosa Mª Calaf and Miguel Frau Rovira, the Malaysian NGO "Sisters in Islam", sinologists Xulio Ríos and Dolors Folch, activists Fawzia Koofi (Afghanistan) and Masih Alinejad (Iran), the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), the Barcelona-Ficomic Manga Fair, and the Kairós publishing house.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 15, 2026.
