The agreement has been signed by the CEO of Casa Asia, José Pintor Aguilar, and the president of Asempea, Tomas Gonzalez. Following the signing, a round table discussion was held. "Strategies for cooperation between Spain and Southeast Asia: new perspectives"which has also included the participation of Muhammad Najib, Indonesian ambassador to Spain, president of the ASEAN Group in Madrid and of Alicia Coronil, chief economist at Singular Bank.

The agreement establishes the willingness of both entities to collaborate on joint projects and activities that contribute to the development of economic, cultural, and educational relations between Spain and ASEAN. This alliance reinforces the role of Casa Asia as a platform for public diplomacy and ASEMPEA's commitment to business internationalization.

The planned lines of work include organizing meetings, seminars, and webinars on opportunities in ASEAN; preparing business studies and reports; and disseminating relevant information to members of both institutions. The exchange of publications and cooperation on initiatives that promote knowledge of Southeast Asia in Spain are also envisioned.

The agreement will have an initial duration of four years and will include a monitoring committee made up of representatives from both entities, which will meet annually to assess progress and propose new initiatives.
