As part of the series "Dialogues on Asian Black Novels and Detective Fiction", Casa Asia and Confucius Institute Foundation in Barcelona organises the meeting with the poet and translator of into Chinese of American classics.

Qiu Xiaolong was born in Shanghai in 1953 and lived in that city until he moved to the United States in 1966. Chinese poet and translator of American classics, he is known for the series of detective novels featuring Chief Inspector Chen Cao, award-winning Anthony Edgar Award and Finalists Award. The series, which includes titles such as Death of a Red Hero, Visa for Shanghai, Silk Red or Mao's Case, takes its readers to the social and cultural reality of modern China.
