Casa Asia, in collaboration with Nam June Paik Art Center (Yongin, South Korea), the National Museum of Art of Catalonia and LOOP Barcelona, presents the individual exhibition of the artist Nam June Paik, Radical Video.
The program will be exhibited in the framework of the LOOP Festival, this year devoted to the origins of video art and its early exponents. Paik was a visionary, a thinker and an innovator, considered by all as the "father of video art". His use of technology blurs the line between science, art and popular culture through his genuine and innovative visual language. Curated by Sooyoung Lee, the exhibition is articulated through six emblematic works by Nam June Paik that predicted more than half a century ago our technological future, the globalization of capital and the internationalization of the media, as well as the impact of the Internet in today's society.
