Conference "Doing Business with China: Negotiation and Intercultural Communication"


Bonds between China and Europe are being intensified due to the greater participation of the Asian country in global economy. Chinese investment in Europe and the number of European companies that well in China are growing despite difficulties.

In the closest future, a scenario of professional and business opportunities is being displayed, but also of great challenges regarding intercultural communication.

Differences in business culture, business management, professional protocol or communication can negatively affect negotiations reducing success possibilities.

With the purpose to contribute to economic and business relations with China, Casa Asia and Confucius Institute in collaboration with Barcelona Activa, organise a free training session for entrepreneurs and professionals from Barcelona.

Delivered by:

Zhang Ying, Dean of China Business & Relations and teacher at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. She has been visiting teacher and research member of Harvard University, Cornell University, and United Nations, as well as honorary teacher at Beijing Jiaotong University. In 2015 she was recognised as one of the “Best 40 under 40” Business School Professors of the world.

Gao Yuan, teacher of EOI and expert in intercultural negotiation and protocol. He is a usual speaker at training courses on commercial culture in China and also works as a consultant of different private companies for business with China.
