Conference-Fitur: "Position and Prospects of Asian Tourism in Spain"

cita_2015

After the success of the IV International Congress of Asian Tourism (CITA), Casa Asia takes part in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2016 by organizing a conference named "Position and Prospects of Asian Tourism in Spain" where the main conlusions of CITA 2015 will be presented and those aspects that strengthen Asian tourism as a new engine of tourism will be analysed. Tne Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Ignacio Ybáñez, will inaugurate this session in Fitur.

The ultimate goal of this session is to analyse the reality of Asian outbound tourism to Spain (especially Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indian), being the source markets with highest growth potential in the future. Asian customers are especially analysed from a procurement point of view, taking into account their purchasing power, habits, needs, etc.

The session is aimed at all tourism professionals (tour operators, hotels, airlines, shops, tourist promotion agencies, etc.) that are interested in learning more about the reality of Asian tourists.

The fourth International Congress on Asian Tourism (CITA 2015) held on 23 and 24 November in Barcelona, was closed by the Minister of Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, and had a participation of professionals and international industry experts who analysed the current situation of Asian tourism to Europe, as well as new markets, profiles, trends and priority destinations.

In his closing speech, Minister Soria said "Asian source markets are great opportunities for growth," and therefore, he said, it is necessary to promote this tourism for its enormous growth potential, as well as for its high capacity of spending.
