Literary Gathering between the East and the West

Owing to the Liber Fair of Barcelona, Casa Asia, in collaboration with People’s Literature Publishing House and the Literary Agency Sapere Critico, organises a gathering between Ge Fei and Yan Geling, two well-known Chinese writers, and Clara Sánchez, Alfaguara Novel Prize and Planeta Prize 2013.

During the gathering participants and curious readers wil have the chance to listen to passages of the works of these great writers translated into Spanish and to get to know each author's style.

About the authors:

Ge Fei: He is one of the main expotents of Chinese contemporary literature. Author of seven novels and many storybooks, he has recently been awarded with the famous award Lu Xun

Yan Geling: Born in Shanghai, she wrote her first novels in China before moving to the United States. She has published more than 20 titles, among which we highlight The Ninth Widow, considered by Asia Weekly as one of the ten best novels in Chinese language.

Clara Sánchez: Hispanic Philology Graduate by the University Complutense of Madrid, she published her first novel in 1989 and has received the Alfaguara Novel Prize and Planeta Prize 2013 for El cielo ha vuelto. In addition, we stand out her participation in the TVE program “Qué grande es el cine”, as a specialist.
