Book Launch: "El lugar más feliz del mundo", by David Jiménez

Presentación del libro:

David Jiménez goes back to the literary journalism that has turned his book Hijos del monzón into an international success and with his chronicles he takes us to a world of lost paradise, forgotten wars, unlikely heroes and places marked by the extremes of human condition, its lights and shadows.

The happiest place in the world is how the North Korean dictator describes the most brutal and despotic tyranny of our time. It is also one of the stops of the El Mundo correspondent on a trip takes him to deepen into the Cambodian prison where the most dangerous paedophiles are convicted, to be a witness of the arrival of television in the Kingdom of Bhutan, to accompany a group of yakuza mafia members when they try to leave the hamba or to remain in the desert city Fukushima after the nuclear accident that kept the whole world on hold.

And often in the dark, in places full of despair, is where the author finds the most fascinating characters, the most human situations and the greatest courage acts that make us believe in a better world.

Highlighted as the "Spanish Kapuscinski", David Jiménez gathers in this book the definitive manual on reporting journalism, an exceptional radiography on the human condition and a life history of 15 years searching for a destination that is often closer than expected.
