As of October 11, 2022, Spanish tourists can travel freely for tourist purposes to the Asian country without the need for a visa. This was announced by the Japanese government and the Japan National Tourism Office (JNTO), which hope to gradually recover the number of international tourists prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

What level of Japanese is appropriate? None, it is for people who have never studied Japanese or who have minimal knowledge of the language.

Content: At the end of the course, students will be able to maintain simple conversations in restaurants, stores, train and subway stations, and during meetings with Japanese. You will also be able to learn about Japanese culture related to tourist places, gastronomy, typical souvenirs, etc.

Teacher:

Etsuko Sakurai She has a degree in Japanese Philology from Housei University, Japan. She worked as an editor in several publishing houses in Tokyo. Already in Madrid, she was editor of the Japanese magazine. From 2006 to 2015 she was a Japanese teacher at Casa Asia and at the Japan Foundation, etc. until a new return to Japan. There, she has been an official Spanish language interpreter and guide since 2017. Additionally, she is a Japanese calligraphy teacher by Nihon. shodo kyouiku gakkai (2019). She has now returned to Madrid again.
