In Chinese painting, the expression of the sense of calm and harmony is of great importance, which together are the energy and gesture that a work contains. This harmony is the basis of Chinese art and the fruit of creation. With the technique of Chinese painting, the painter learns to capture its essence with the mind and heart, transmitting it to his work through the four treasures of study: brush, ink, inkwell and paper and expresses in a fully spiritual way the nature.
In this course we are going to introduce the basic technique of painting flowers, fruits and mountains. Students will also have the opportunity to practice the oriental painting technique in class and they will be able to acquire basic knowledge about oriental painting and enter its world, thus discovering the mystique of oriental art.
