The series «So far, so close: Asian communities in Spain» aims at making the reality of Asian immigration known in Spain and to create a public platform of intercultural encounter and debate in society with Asian communities that live in Spain. The first session of this series will approach the Chinese community in Barcelona.

Begoña Ruiz de Infante, Sinologist, interpreter and socio-cultural mediator in public services of Catalonia and author of the study associationism and Chinese social networks in Catalonia. Zhangjiong Ye Ye 'Joana', professional of Chinese-Catalan catering. Member of the Trade Fund and Secretary of the Chinese People's Cultural Association. Ye Beihui currently studies the degree in Maths at the University of Barcelona. He studies and works in a family business: A wholesale show shop in Badalona. Chen Yu 'Luis', wholesale businessman. He holds jewellery shops in the centre of Barcelona. Member of the Federation of Chinese Associations in Catalonia.
